Willy Adames launched a one-out grand slam to center field, a 393-foot, 105.5 mph drive off Nick Davila, putting the San Francisco Giants up 7-0 in the top of the seventh. Right-hander Landen Roupp spun seven shutout innings to blank the Seattle Mariners and preserve the shutout. Drew Cavanaugh reached base four times (two hits and two walks) as part of a Giants attack that also benefited from an error that produced an earlier run. The game was San Francisco's second-half opener in Seattle and finished 7-0. Adames’s slam effectively broke the game open in the seventh and ensured a comfortable road victory for the Giants.
