Kratos will be recast in the ‘God of War’ live-action series after Ryan Hurst suffered an injury on set Production is aiming to restart in October (via Deadline)
• The actor tore his bicep and it can take up to 6 months before an actor can return to physically demanding work • Amazon and Sony didn't want to wait • 4 episodes had already been filmed Full details: 🔗 popculturenews.com/ryan-hurst-i...
Oh man, that sucks. I feel real sorry for the dude. I hope he heals.
How long is recovery? Is there really such a demand for this show, that they can't wait?!
what a double whammy. Imagine tearing a bicep and soon afterwards losing what could've been your biggest role.
Getting fired from a job because you got injured AT work seems illegal? I know it’s Canada, but disability laws exist there don’t they?
Why not just Delay It until He Recovers? That's Wild
Sony not wanting to wait for the number 1 choice of the casting director to heal, cuz they need this show out at whatever time is very on brand for today's Sony.
injuring your lead actor possibly permanently and then recasting him is so fucking insane i think someone needs to trip down the stairs for this
Sorry, the guy got injured at work and lost the role over it?? What in the actual fuck.
Podíamos decir que FÍSICAMENTE está herido. Grande Sony.
meu deus velho que pressa é essa
Normally, if your main star is injured because of some freak accident or something and would take 6 months to a year (according to the article) to recover.....you'd wanna delay. Why decide to recast now????
Maybe this is a sign to stop making live action versions of video games that take 60 hours to tell a story and turning into 12 hour poorly written copy paste of the game it took the story from
I read this as "Kratos will be racist" and got very confused...
The live-action ‘GOD OF WAR’ series has halted filming after Ryan Hurst tore his bicep whilst filming a stunt. Filming may not resume until 2027. (Source: www.tmz.com/2026/07/16/r...)
This picture still cracks me up.
That kid is gonna need to be recast by the time they resume filming lmao
as much as I get not wanting to commit to being bald for however many seasons this will run for, that bald cap is going to be in this show forever
I forgot that this series was even happening
Brings a whole knew meaning to the word “ripped”.
Im not watching it until Playstation reconsider their decision about digital only games
This is where you introduce Kratos 2 for a while until Kratos 1 can recover and then they both team up. Kratos 2 can have red gloves and boots to make them easier to tell apart.
NO GAMES NO SHOWS NO NOTHIN
there was a God of War series in the making?????
Ouch! Hope he recovers soon
Years of listening to Dave Meltzer has conditioned me to recognize all tricep/bicep tears as steroid injuries.
why did they give a fetus a bow and arrow?
oh my gosh, i completely forgot they were making this. it’s so hard to take seriously lmao
