FFVII Ever Crisis will add Before Crisis story before end-of-service

so like, without a doubt the most embarrassing fumble with Ever Crisis was the Character Stories they were the best new story content in the game, but they only ended up adding 4 in 3 years, despite the UI suggesting multiple episodes per character

square enix told me gamers keep killing their gacha games so i asked how many gacha games they have and they said they just go to the developers and get a new gacha game so i said it sounds like they're just feeding gacha games to gamers and then Ever Crisis EoS'd

Ever Crisis getting EOS'd is fucking crazy to me because they introduced Glen from EC into the Remake trilogy, then never resolved his storyline in EC. This is like introducing a Kingdom Hearts character in a gacha game, canceling the gacha game, then putting them in KH4-- WAIT

we had the events of nearly all ff7 media including the lost media java game "before crisis" all in one game! and it's dead. to be fair it was a f2p mobile game with horrid monetisation practices limiting your play & progression to a glacial pace unless you regularly forked over money for it.

Oh this SUCKS because this is the ONLY way to play the Before Crisis content, due to the old game being locked on old phones from the early 00s and I don't even know if we even have the full game dumped either.

I'm the kind of guy who thinks all mobile gachas are inherently evil, so you won't find me losing any sleep over Ever Crisis going kaput Though I never understood why this one in particular existed in the first place

And nobody can say it was because it was "mobile only" because Ever Crisis was on steam so like there was no excuse.

i try to be a little kind to Ever Crisis simply out of courtesy and principle because nobody should cheer on a game's death, but man they fucking mishandled the shit out of that game and NEVER gave it the support it needed, to the point that there's basically not much to preserve outside of skins.

It's overall good that they're weening off the gacha games. BUT - Never did Before Crisis - EoS BEFORE 7 Revelation Are both wild things to go out on.

RIP to FF7 Ever Crisis, I played you for 10 minutes, you threw gacha gems at me and I left and now you're dying like Mitch McConnell

WELL FUCK ME WITH THE MONKEY’S PAW so, Before Crisis is happening in EC. BUT. Literally two months before it goes EOS. I’m genuinely shocked they didn’t at least hold out until Revelation

So let me get this straight: we’ve waited over five years since hearing Ever Crisis’s announcement to play Before Crisis, and we get less than 3 months to play it before it becomes lost media for a second time. Some people have waited literally 15 years to play this game, and this is all they get?
