Robert Eggers debuts Werwulf trailer
The official trailer for Robert Eggers’ Werwulf starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe and Lily-Rose Depp is here 👀 🐺 In theaters December 25. Add to your watchlist ➡️ boxd.it/SC72
I appreciate that Robert Eggers makes Christmas movies.
The issue I have is, while they should be watched in the cinema, I feel it should be a tiny backwater small screen with a real film projection & a small crowd. Treat it like some new discovered film from long ago we have been warned about watching
Can movies be viewed intravenously
it's time to rewatch nosferatu
Oh, great … yet another movie that shows the medieval era as spattered with mud, with no color whatsoever, and people weren’t clean. Oh, and the dark filter to make it all look even more miserable. Medieval peasants wore bright colors and kept themselves clean. @fakehistoryhunter.net
Another movie about Stephen Miller?🥱
Bobby Omlettes back at it again
YES YES YES YES YES
Are we sure Eggers can do folk horror?
you know bob eggers is going to put that rope in lycanthrope
Now that is what I’m talking about
is all the colour stock trapped in the strait of hormuz or summat
Like most, I've been interested in how the Middle English part of this will work, and if the trailer is an indication it's plenty understandable enough. I do not believe this will be a film largely driven by dialog in any case.
First trailer for Robert Eggers' ‘Werwulf’ 🐺 In theaters on December 25
Ya know, Christmas! The Best day to release a Horror Movie! XD
ROBERT EGGERS COOKS ONCE AGAIN! I AM SO FUCKING SEATED!
Fuck this looks so good
My body is ready (shaking, ass out and covered in spit).
oh i’m about to act a fool
Wait until everyone starts review bombing this movie when they realize the werewolf won't look like a generic sexy furry wolf you can fuck with. 😭
Y aquí nos toca esperar hasta el 8 de enero, la madre que los trajo.
Do not dread the darkness. Embrace it. Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nosferatu) undergoes a bestial metamorphosis in the first trailer for Robert Eggers’ WERWULF. In theaters on Christmas Day.
Wild how back then they just didn’t live in color
Does it come out on Christmas because of the legend that a child born on Christmas Day will become a werewolf?
They definitely embraced the darkness because it’s kinda hard to see a lot of it, at least in the trailer
Oh I’m sure I’m going to be howling in the theater.
I've been in the bag for Eggers since The Witch, let's go!
This was my reaction after watching that teaser, INJECT THIS INTO ME RIGHT NOW!!!! @mvbrat10.bsky.social @nerdobaggins.bsky.social @ryanjrobotham.bsky.social @bvlikeslinguica.bsky.social @gonzaegonza91.bsky.social @scalawagjack.bsky.social @thanosprime.bsky.social
BOBBY EGGS RETURNS YES PLEASE
Already a better Wolf Man than Wolf Man (2025).
Werwulf? Looks like he’s right over der 🫵
Do not dread the darkness. Embrace it. Robert Eggers' WERWULF is only in theaters this Christmas.
Ok, I'm actually hyped! Of course it suffers from "not colorful, grimy medieval" syndrome, but it is gothic horror, I can let it slide this time.
The full moon is here, and with it comes the first trailer for Robert Eggers' WERWULF, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Watch it here.
I am seeing that Werwulf, the next Robert Eggers movie, has its dialogue written in 14th-Century Middle English with the help of two Oxford professors?!? HECK YES GIMME MAH TICKETS NOW
I love that so many people in my circle of friends have sent me info on this today and are all pretty much hyperventilating with excitement. Sometimes the internet is a beautiful thing.
This sounds amazing, but is sure to summon The Disk Horse.
I would definitely have to watch twice!
Will it have Middle English subtitles? I can read it, but I don’t know if I can understand it spoken.
You mean like, "Ther wolf, ther castel?"
I am really looking forward to this one.
That Willem Dafoe is *such* a chameleon in the Werwulf trailer, you'd hardly know that it was him! #MST3K
Probably the most realistic character in Warwilf: talked a big game with a gun over one shoulder, then when threatened by the lamest excuse for a werewolf ever, cowered helplessly in a corner. Another chameleon in that film was our Russo-Mexican friend, Yuri. NOW HE'S GOT GRAY HAIR!
He’s in the streets doing things!
I heard there was a climactic basketball game ...
Aw jeez Willem, you can’t be calling Dracula that anymore
Ladies and gentleperson's: everybody's uncle that was asked not to come to family gatherings 35 years ago at his yearly wellness check.
Robert Eggers goddammit you've done it again you mad bastard
Gimme a bunch of fucked up peasants rolling around in the mud!!!! Nasty slobbery monsters!!! Willem DaFoe!!!! Eggers might be my favorite director at this point he's the only one who Gets It
sooooo pumped that the dialogue is mostly in middle english (with some changes to make it understandable) i love the commitment. more of this!!
I sincerely hope this man never makes anything close to a typical modern Hollywood movie. Just keep giving us the weird shit, put it into my veins.
