Star Fox for Nintendo Switch 2 launches, players praise the remake
Star Fox sometimes reminds me of group projects in school
“What do you do when someone is on Fox’s tail?” Fox: “help me-“ Everyone else: “Do nothing and let him handle it!”
To be fair our kill count makes our bill to General Pepper higher. They are just thinking of the long term.
"What do we do during a boss fight?" "Fly in front of Fox, don't shoot the enemy, then complain when Fox hits us"
falcon never reads the chat though
It's a lot clearer in the new one; Fox just assembled the fresh crew and their journey to Venom is what pulls them together, Peppy being the experienced mentor figure. From Corneria Falco does not respect Fox and challenges him on leadership, but by the end its "I'll follow you to the end, boss."
and the bastards wont even address when during linear segments they just LOVE to fly right in front of you while youre trying to shoot down an enemy. MAYBE I DONT NEED TO LEARN HOW TO AIM FALCO, MAYBE YOU GOTTA LEARN HOW TO FLY SAFELY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only is fox the leader, but he's also the babysitter.
I'm pretty much reading all new Star Fox fan comics in the voices of the new cast. They work just so well for it, y'know?
Peppy looks so proud of his boys for knowing the answer.
Fox McCloud confirmed eldest daughter
This is really funny, but also in 2026, they seem far more competent in Venom 2. And in Challenge Mode, you ACTUALLY want them to help you shoot down the missiles in Sector Z.
Hope everyone has been enjoying the new* Star Fox game, but let's not forget about the lies being told about Fox #StarFox #memes
You sure? He seems to be turning into an angsty asshole with parental issues. From what I’ve seen so far, he seems no stronger in morale than Star Wolf….maybe I’ll delete this if I’m shown different in the playthrough I’m watching. But rn, I could see THIS Fox working for Andross.
I think it's funny that everyone has a headcannon of their favorite character and whenever I look back and see why they might have that image in their head of said character it almost always points to it being their childhood views. Its almost innocent if only it weren't always used so angrily ^.^'
Believe it or not, when I was concepting a potential Star Fox movie (preferably made by Sony), I had this concept for an in-universe bootleg merch of the team in the same way as the TMNT in Chrome Alone 2.
I feel he's "smarmier" but that's about it. He's not a dick. He's just... I don't know the exact words, a dash of "youthful rebellion" and a pinch of "coyness"? I dunno, he's not straight laced but he's definitely not a jerk.
Rolled credits on Star Fox easy route, and then on hard route soon after. Got almost all medals on my first run, those old childhood skills have lingered! I would rather they end the IP than ever remake this damn game again, but Star Fox 64 does remain very good and fun.
My hope is that this is a Samus Returns/Link's Awakening type situation where the remake is just a test of the dev team's abilities before then letting the same team make a brand new game in the series.
I picked it up but haven’t played yet, very excited to finally give it a shot
You know, I've always been on Team Peppy for the sexiest character in Star Fox, but maybe I haven't appreciated General Pepper enough? I will say, he's looking mighty fine in the newest remake. Makes me want to have Barnaby cosplay as him. 🤤
They really need to sell us the outfits
Those dogs in the back look pretty nice too. ngl 👀
I do just looove a dog in uniform~ 🥰 Barnaby would look great in his outfit!
They made an amibo of him you be the first one to buy one
I can see you as general pepper
You could definitely rock the General Pepper look, he has big dad vibes too 😍
Star Fox is the first game in the series I've ever beaten. The most experience I've had with the Star Fox is through Super Smash Bros.
As a series veteran, welcome aboard!
Starfox Adventures is 1 of my favorite all time games. Not sure if it's aged well so you should bother to play it in 2026, but for it's time, and got about a decade after that, it stood up well. Really wish they could figure out a way to get it on NO+.
This remake was perfect timing for you
Congratulations on beating 5 star fox games within a single starfox game
While Star Fox '26 is a faithful remake, I think the characters are better than ever. Falco's personality is spicy but he especially comes around at the end of the game (very Vegeta-like). Fox is also a bit dismissive of his father whenever he's brought up, but is shown to obviously care by the end
Slippy definintely got the biggest glow-up. Not only is he adorable, but they show alot more to why he's an invaluable member of the crew despite him often getting into trouble.
I especially like Falco's characterization on Titania, where he first tries to play everything off cool, but you can tell he's on the verge of panic over how worried he is for Slippy.
Katt especially feels like an actual character now, she's such a glow-up from the N64 game.
