What do you do when the govt takes down information on climate change and fires you? Launch your own damn website. Former NOAA scientists launch another web resource to inform the public on climate change. We can’t allow censorship to prevail.

After Trump shut down Climate.gov and DOGE fired NOAA scientists, they fought back. Their new site, Climate.us, preserves trusted climate research and public information on hurricanes, extreme weather, and climate change—because science doesn’t disappear when politicians censor it.

Climate.us was formed in June 2026 by a group of former NOAA staff, including Rebecca Lindsey, the former managing editor of NOAA’s Climate.gov, in response to the shutdown of the federal climate information platform. Climate.gov now redirects users to NOAA.gov/climate and is no more.
