Report says Stephen Miller pushed DOJ memo easing institutionalization of people with disabilities
Bloomberg Law says White House adviser Stephen Miller was the driving force behind a Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel memo that urges overturning Olmstead v. L.C. and authorizes states to institutionalize some people with disabilities rather than fund community-based care. The memo reinterprets the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act to say federal law does not require states to ensure community integration, reversing decades of DOJ enforcement. Disability advocates say the change would put community supports that millions rely on at risk and would undermine the Supreme Court precedent guaranteeing the right to live in the community, a major rollback of long-standing civil rights protections.
Trump’s DOJ just issued a memo that disability advocates warn could gut decades of civil rights protections for disabled Americans. It argues that states don't have to provide in-home or community-based care under the ADA or Rehabilitation Act.
Why does the DOJ get to issue a memo to destroy peoples lives What a disgusting group of human beings have been elected to participate in this dismantlement of humanity
Pure evil. And more expensive.
What the actual FUCK is wrong with y'all? Concerned neighbor 🇨🇦
We don’t have until November.
I can't wait until this clown and his minions are gone.
Its as clear, as it as ever been the GOP doesn't give a shit about helping Americans. as a disabled individual it scares the shit out of me, not for me but others with more debilitating disabilities.
This is step 2 of sending the disabled to for profit prisons, isn't it?
From @bloomberglaw.com - Stephen Miller behind DoJ memo arguing for re-institutionalization of disabled Americans (because he wants to incarcerate homeless folks). Miller/DoJ deny it. Good reporting here on why this memo came out.
What about the disabled veterans? I’m sure Miller and pedo bone spurs could care less about them too.
Who'd y'all think all those ICE camps are for? There isn't actually a huge illegal immigration problem in America to begin with. Every population that gets targeted is a test to see what people will tolerate as long as it isn't happening to them.
Oh, it’s true. Just check Project 2025 agenda!

He’s loud and proud about it too. He really is pure evil.
"Change the voters, change the country." Treason, clear and obvious

This is a sociopath that enjoys inflicting pain and suffering onto others, what should happen to these heinous people in trump’s cabinet? I am excited for their accountability day, a revolution with a guillotine would be an alternative, because they might get away with it like trump did again
He’s incredibly grotesque in all manners of being.
He’s a foul and loathsome monster.
