Shohei Ohtani and his wife Mamiko announced the birth of their second child and said they are overjoyed. Ohtani left the Dodgers briefly for the birth, missing one game before rejoining the club later in the week. On June 20 against the Baltimore Orioles, Ohtani led off the bottom of the ninth with a 413-foot, 114.6 mph solo home run off Andrew Kittredge that cut the score to 3-1. That blast was his 16th of the season and highlights Ohtani’s rare two-way impact and sustained power at the plate.
