Capcom confirms Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake is fully third-person
Capcom confirmed that the Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake will use a full third-person camera, reversing the first-person perspective shown in the reveal trailer. The company said the remake will not use a first-person or hybrid system, making third-person the exclusive gameplay view. The move returns Code Veronica to the series' classic third-person presentation from its 2000 release and aligns the remake with the over-the-shoulder approach used in recent remakes, which changes aiming, enemy encounters, and level design. That matters because camera perspective directly shapes combat feel, puzzle visibility, and how tense survival-horror moments play out for players.
Capcom confirms Resident Evil Veronica is a third-person game "the team behind this remake is the same team that handled the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remakes" Team's mindset includes "preserving those iconic and key aspects of the title" www.ign.com/articles/res...
Hearing this is the 2 and 4 team is all I needed to know. Lets go three for three baby.
It's sad how much they just didn't care about 3. It's so blatant they did that as lip service, and really cared to get to 4 as soon as possible. It's not like the 3 remake is even *bad* or anything, but you can feel how rushed it was.
They gotta give us a fully first person, horror-focused title after this one I love all the remakes and the first person entries, but man I would kill for another scary as shit first person game like RE7
Interesting tidbit from the Resident Evil Veronica Famitsu Interview When asked about Dino Crisis we get a playful "No Comment". Which isn't odd BUT is different from the usual "I would love to see that too" type of response. Could be nothing, but it sticks out www.famitsu.com/article/2026...
i decided to check the japanese to be absolutely sure and yeah I would interpret this as "we're doing something but can't talk details quite yet" the game did poll high on that capcom survey thing so I imagine it's at least on their radar
At some point they will run out of Resident Evil games to remake
