Funny story, I had a home visit by a nurse and she gave me a cognitive exam. She told me to remember four words and she would ask me to repeat them later in the exam. There is a cog test that is performed for annual wellness visits for medicare recipients. But it is a minicog with only two questions. The longer cog tests are given if there is a concern based upon the results of the mini cog.

Medicare asks for certain tests at least once after 65 bc they don’t feel that a 15 minute visit is enough time to gauge a patients full physical and cognitive health. Not that trump uses Medicare but his visits are 4 - 5 hours, plenty of time to evaluate through conversation a persons cognition.
