Taylor Hall's goal was reviewed for goaltender interference and left standing by the NHL Situation Room, with referees Garrett Rank and Jean Hebert officiating the play. On the sequence, Stankhoven collided with goalie Dobes, forcing Dobes to lift his left pad and allowing Hall to swat the puck under the pad for the score. The Situation Room ruled the contact did not meet the threshold to overturn the goal. Goaltender interference always confounds me. Stankhoven runs into Dobes and that causes him to have to lift his left pad off the ice (or fall over) allowing Hall to swat the puck under the pad. That 100% should have been disallowed. Did the refs think the interference was Hall and only look at him?
