He began working for the Cavs in 2012 and rose through the ranks, including winning G League Executive of the Year.

The Cavs are slated to pick at 29, 7 slots behind the Sixers’ pick. It’s a quick turnaround, but Mike Gansey should have a good feel of players in the latter half of the first round.

No decision yet on Jameer Nelson's role within the Mike Gansey-led Sixers front office, I am told.

He replaces Daryl Morey, who was fired from the position after six seasons.
