US strikes Iran targets again, second time in three days
The U.S. military struck Iranian targets on Thursday, its second such action in three days, and described the operations as defensive. The strikes came amid fragile ceasefire talks and protracted negotiations to end the war that began after U.S. and Israeli strikes on Feb. 28. Asian shares mostly declined following the U.S. announcement. The strikes risk escalating direct clashes with Tehran, drawing in regional partners and threatening efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
🇺🇸🇮🇷 Despite attempts and "active" negotiations, the US and Iran have once again exchanged strikes, - CNN. The US shot down Iranian drones near the Strait of Hormuz and hit a launch site in Bandar Abbas. Iran then targeted a US airbase in Kuwait, while also firing at ships near the strait.
