Crystal Palace win UEFA Conference League, claim first European trophy
Jean-Philippe Mateta’s second-half goal gave Crystal Palace a 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in the UEFA Conference League final. The victory is the first European trophy in Crystal Palace’s history. Manager Oliver Glasner led the team to the title, and Cumbrian goalkeeper Dean Henderson lifted the trophy with his teammates. The result marks a landmark continental achievement for the club and completes a major chapter in Palace’s recent rise under Glasner.
Well done Crystal Palace Glasner has done more in 2 years than any manager at Everton has done in nearly 40 He is an excellent and progressive manager, any sensible club would offer him whatever he wants to come and manage them Just a thought....like
Moyes has a terrible habit at Everton of either bottling big games - both derbies this season and a litany of previous failures against the RS and other top teams, or failing to deliver when it matters.
Lost his best players, coped with a thin squad and a packed fixture list. A fine achievement. He will wait for what he thinks is the right next step. Who will tempt him? If we're not at least pursuing him, I'm tempted to ask what these owners' game is.
