Blue Sky Art Show, theme 'Eastcoastkin'
The Blue Sky Art Show's weekly theme 'Eastcoastkin' showcased a monochrome photograph of the NYC 9/11 Memorial, National Parks and Monuments imagery, a British Columbia coyote wildlife shot, and abstract expressionist acrylic paintings. Several photographers presented black and white images tied to America250 and to protected-land subjects, framing monuments and landscapes through stark tones. One wildlife entry described a coyote slipping through brush in British Columbia as a fleeting 'forest letting you in for just a heartbeat' moment. The combination of memorial photography, park imagery, wildlife and abstract painting offers a cross-regional snapshot of landscape, memory and identity worth exploring for photographers and art lovers.
Streetcars on fruit trucks. This truck has all the icon of the city; CN Tower, SkyDome and the old CLRV streetcars. The questionable inclusion of the HWY401 sign is a negative. That road is not an icon of TO but a blight on the city. #BlueSkyArtShow #EastCoastKin #UrbanGaze #Toronto #Scarborough

The one icon it's missing is the actually amazing mangos we can get here. (The Mexican ones are fine, and reasonably priced, but there are so many more, some say that we have the best selection of any city in the world)
