Race Across The World final, Jo and Kush call it 'very tense'
Jo and Kush, childhood friends from Liverpool, won this series of Race Across The World and described the finale as "very tense." The Merseyside pair were the youngest duo in the series, having applied in January 2025 after finishing their A-levels. Two pairs crossed the line just hours apart after a crucial mistake set one team back. The close finish highlights the show's emphasis on endurance and navigation, and the BBC is inviting applications for the next series.
The friendship between Jo and Kush on Race Across the World is the perfect antidote to the whole toxic masculinity narrative. The kids are ok, they’re wonderful and they really know how to care for each other.
They are so lovely! And so devoted to each other, it’s adorable and inspiring. “Where are the positive role models for young boys???” There! Right there! With the two teenaged lads from Liverpool collecting walnuts together in a place improbably named Arslanbob!
No spoilers, we’re 2 episodes behind
Husband and I said exactly that. Their friendship is an example of what many men should be aspiring to. Celebrating each others wins, being there for each other during tough periods and generally being good eggs
Love their friendship and how they know what to do for each other intuitively. The world would be a much better place if we had more Jo and Kush in it.
