Two women allege rape during Married at First Sight UK filming, show pulled
BBC Panorama reports that two women say they were raped during filming of Channel 4's Married at First Sight UK. Channel 4 removed all previous seasons from its streaming service and says it commissioned an external welfare review last month. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport called the accounts 'serious', and a minister described them as 'shocking and deeply concerning'. Former contestants told Panorama that producers did not provide adequate safeguarding, raising questions about safety protocols on reality television.
his entire downward spiral began bcos channel 4 removed an episode of the it crowd from its streaming service bcos the big punchline of the episode is a trans woman being murdered this man does not care about women. he's destroyed his entire personal and professional life over his ego
like that's a legit fucking insane thing for him to post. i can't get over it. just when you think he can't possibly get worse.
Does he think the rape made Married at First Sight better?
Doubly weird because “The Work Outing” is the best episode of IT Crowd.
As my ol’ mum used to say, “I’d still rather be me” *these people are just *so miserable* I can’t even 🤷🏻♀️
Glinner, Defender of Women: Sure, SA is bad, but the real injustice is them not airing certain episodes of my mid-tier comedy show.
does this kind of griping perform well on the everything app
Even if you are a degenerate who supports unlimited murder against trans people, calling it the best episode is a stretch.
The Married At First Sight allegations are so profoundly disturbing: that women were (allegedly) not safe even under the almost-public gaze of a tv audience; that Channel 4 still screened it; that the whole premise seems in retrospect so clearly headed for trouble www.theguardian.com/media/2026/m...
It seems this was going to be an inevitable consequence of a programme that should have never come to screen.
Hard to work out what is sadder. That there are people who will volunteer for these tawdry exploitation shows, or that the shows are made because there’s enough of an audience to make them profitable. That said, whatever kind of idiot you are you still have the right to refuse sexual contact.
Still sickened by the account of the man who was told no, helped himself anyway, got upset that his "wife" disassociated to let him get on with it, then accused her of "making him feel like a rapist".
The response from Channel 4 and the production company so far has been woeful.
I don’t watch programmes like that. But I did watch the recent documentary on America’s Next Top Model, which at least pretended to select people for a career. The abuse on that show should have been a warning. Instead they recruit desperate people to strip off and pair up with strangers.
