Vegas Golden Knights advance to Western Conference Final
The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-1 in Game 6 on May 14 to close out the second-round series 4-2 and eliminate Anaheim. Vegas will now meet the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference Final after Colorado advanced from the other side of the bracket. The Golden Knights get nearly a week to regroup before the West Final, setting up a high-stakes matchup between two Stanley Cup contenders. The winner of the Vegas-Colorado series will advance to the Stanley Cup Final, making this round pivotal for both teams' title chances.
NEWS: The Vegas Golden Knights must forfeit their 2026 second-round NHL Draft pick, and John Tortorella has been fined $100,000 after Tortorella skipped his postgame news conference and the team failed to allow locker-room access to reporters after a victory on Thursday.
Good. Media availability rules during the playoffs aren't optional. Also... they won and advanced to the semi's with lilely 5-6 days off, so what possibly reasonable explanation can there be? A late night flight? Lol.
Seems excessive to me. Okay w the fine but a second rounder? Wow.
He’s a lunatic and jackass who deserves to be fined and disciplined, but penalizing the team with a draft pick forfeiture is too excessive. Fans don’t want a league with this kind of authoritarian #NHL front office who is willing to give the appearance of corruption without expected consequences.
