Jackson teased a new Lord of the Rings spinoff, Hunt for Gollum, and confirmed Andy Serkis will direct, saying "I could have directed it, but I thought, I've done that." Jackson said he plans to oversee selective Middle-earth projects rather than direct every entry, signaling a shift to collaborator-led adaptations while he focuses on producing and other work.

The 2011 film is one of the only movies during the "CGI + 3D glasses" explosion that actually used the 3D gimmick well. At points it felt like being on a theme park ride with how beautifully the action in the scenes flowed. I'd love to see more in this vein!

Peter Jackson has teased at Cannes that he is still working on the screenplay for the sequel to The Adventures of Tintin and still plans to direct. I've been holding out hope for another installment for fifteen years and I hope it comes to fruition. I wanna see more adventures.
