3 more Labour MPs call for Starmer to go. Consensus on his speech appears to be variations on ’thin gruel’ (Beth Rigby, Sky News). I‘m not sure that the Labour party quite understands that it’s their policies and red lines that need to change not simply their leader.

Labour’s problems can’t just be solved by replacing #Starmer with Streeting, Rayner or Burnham. The real problem is its Brexit red lines and broader policy choices failing to affect the divisive national mood. Until #Labour MPs rethink those fundamentals, swapping leader is unlikely to change much.
