Maul: Shadow Lord season finale streams, Season 2 reportedly coming
Lucasfilm released the final two episodes, episodes 7 and 8, of Star Wars: Maul, Shadow Lord, and those episodes are now streaming. The season finale has Maul confronting a man he nearly hit with a motorcycle years earlier, who recognizes him and sparks a horror-tinged showdown. Lucasfilm said Season 2 is not far off, promising more episodes that will continue Maul's movie-monster style portrayal and expand his storyline.
Man, Daki in his prime must have been an absolute menace. #MaulShadowLord
I feel like he and Yoda probably got along well
that old man is begging to pop up in a high republic tale
Maul in his prime was a phantom menace.
Dennis Haysbert does a great job voicing him. Deep, strong, but compassionate.
Loved how he keep using form IV, ataru, to fight.
I was thinking this during the finale of Maul: Shadow Lord, where he's fighting these hyper-dynamic characters but still looks like David Prowse lumbering around in a bulky suit, trying not to bump into things. I felt the same way in Rogue One and Obi Wan too.
Opinion exaggerated for effect of course. No need to explain the Force to me or anything like that, thank you. 😅
Interesting opinion. I think his costume, having been designed in the late 70s, and also becoming iconic has maybe created the problem. You want him to look like a more flexible character, but you can't change the costume lest you change his appearance too much and make the fans angry.
I think Rogue One was perhaps the best example of working within his constraints and getting it right. There’s an in-universe explanation for his lumbering style, but he still projects effortless force and terror. What’s missing is, if anything, more force welders with is power-over-agility style.
