Brentford beat West Ham 3-0, handing Tottenham a lifeline in the Premier League relegation battle. The defeat leaves West Ham with a much smaller margin for error in the run-in, so Tottenham can climb out of the bottom three if they win their remaining fixtures and West Ham drop points. Next week's West Ham v Arsenal match now becomes a pivotal decider because a West Ham loss or draw would sharply improve Tottenham's chances of survival.

West Ham are in serious financial difficulties. They will need to sell all their top earners to try and balance the books. Even that might not work for them. So either way they're fucked. So relegate Spurs and watch WH implode.

If West Ham drop any points at Brentford, they will need a result vs Arsenal in order to have any chance of going into the last day within two points of #lufc. If Spurs lose at Villa, they'll need to beat #lufc & then win away at Chelsea & home to Everton, whilst also hoping #lufc lose two games.

I’d rather Spurs went down but I’ve no great love for West Ham fans either. They’ve been just as dismissive about getting 3 points from their game with us as Spurs have…at least Spurs have beaten us this season, West Ham have lost twice & still reckon it’s 3 points in the bag!
