Jayson Tatum ruled out for Celtics‑76ers Game 7 with knee stiffness
Celtics star Jayson Tatum will miss tonight's Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden because of left knee stiffness, the team announced. Head coach Joe Mazzulla said Tatum "came in today with knee discomfort," locating the problem in the back of his knee and listing him day-to-day before ruling him out. Tatum had been listed as questionable on the injury report earlier in the day. Boston must now rely on Jaylen Brown, bench scoring and defensive adjustments to try to win the decisive Eastern Conference Game 7 without its primary scorer.
Jayson Tatum has been downgraded to OUT for Game 7 due to left knee stiffness.
Right move. Not worth the risk. An injury on one side of the body has the potential result of overcompensating with the other side.
maybe they should have kept trying to win in the 4th quarter of game 5? but what do I know, apparently they had infinite games ahead of them at that point
