Final Fantasy XIV free trial now includes Shadowbringers to level 80
Square Enix expanded Final Fantasy XIV's free trial to include Shadowbringers, raising the playable level cap in the trial to 80. The trial now covers A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood and Shadowbringers, letting new players experience those expansions' main story content up to level 80. Players can create Viera and Hrothgar characters in the trial, so newcomers can test the game's race and job options without buying the game. This matters because it lets players sample Shadowbringers' acclaimed story and endgame systems before committing to a subscription.
