Trump attends White House Correspondents' Dinner amid shooting fallout

I was at a family event when all this correspondence dinner mayhem erupted. What I find nearly hilarious in the aftermath is that all the journalists grabbed all the liquor bottles they could off the tables as they ran out of the room. Kind of a perfect metaphor.

It's the CORRESPONDENCE dinner. The Correspondence assigned to the White House. The is NOT a White House function, therefore their argument the White House needs a ballroom for the CORRESPONDENCE is ridiculous. He's a RENTER in the People's House, it's not his home - it's OURS.

Am I surprised that John Lyons from ABCNEWS24 Australia seemed to have gone to the Correspondence dinner. Not Really. Am I pissed off that he did. Yes I am. Mightily fucking pissed off.

And behold, only minutes after the poorly secured Correspondence Dinner was invaded by an armed individual, the PR machine preset went live about the damn WH ballroom that is being currently tied up in a lawsuit. The same ballroom meant to cap an elaborate military complex. Take that as you will.

The Ballroom and specifically the bunker would do nothing for incidents like the Correspondence dinner. The point of a bunker is for when you are under siege and need to retreat to a secure location. Like when the people come for you when you refuse to leave the WH.

In spite of Trump pacing himself center stage and slapping the Presidential deal on the podium, Trump was a guest of The White House Correspondence Dinner. This was not a White House event. #USA #Trump #uspoli

The moment Trump decided to FINALLY attend a White House correspondence dinner, we should have immediately sensed something amiss.

The annual White House Correspondence Dinner is traditionally held at the Washington Hilton and honors journalists who cover the White House. If Trump gets his ballroom and moves the dinner there, it will become just another MAGA affair for him and his sycophants.
