Lions draft OT Blake Miller at No. 17

sportsApr 23, 202616305

The Detroit Lions selected Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller with the No. 17 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Miller started 54 games across four seasons at Clemson, served as a team captain, earned first-team All-ACC honors and missed only one practice in that span. Coach Dan Campbell said he wants to move Penei Sewell to left tackle to replace Taylor Decker this fall, and adding Miller gives Detroit a durable, high-floor lineman WHO can protect the quarterback or anchor the opposite edge. The pick fills a clear offensive line need and boosts both pass protection and run-blocking stability for a Lions team retooling its line.
